About Rebecca Patterson


Rebecca Patterson brings to her voice instruction forty years of teaching and performance experience. She works with both emerging professionals and amateur singers and actors, who perform musical theatre and opera in Chicago.

Rebecca is certified in the LoVetri Method through the Institute for Contemporary Commercial Music Pedagogy, and has received Lessac-Madsen Resonant Voice Training.

She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.


Rebecca has appeared as a soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chicago's Music of the Baroque, Masterwork Chorale (New York), International Church Music Festival (Germany), and in concert throughout the Midwest. Operatic roles include Lauretta in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi, Musetta in Puccini's La Boheme and Amahl in Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors.


Rebecca founded the Chicago Bar Association Chorusаand directed the group for ten years. Since its inception in 2006, she prepared the chorus for performances of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Orff's Carmina Burana, Brahms’ Requiem, and other masterpieces of Western civilization. а а а а а а а а а а а а
