About Rebecca Patterson

Teacher Rebecca Patterson brings to her voice instruction over thirty years of teaching and performance experience. She works with both professional and amateur singers and actors, who perform in musical theatre and opera in Chicago. Rebecca Patterson is certified in the LoVetri Method through the Institute for Contemporary Commercial Music Pedagogy. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
Performer Rebecca has appeared as a soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chicago’s Music of the Baroque, Masterwork Chorale (New York), International Church Music Festival (Germany), and in concert throughout the Midwest. Operatic roles have ranged from Lauretta, the ingenue in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, to Amahl, the young crippled boy in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors.

Rebecca conducts the Chicago Bar Association Chorus. Since its inception in '06, she has prepared the chorus for performances of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Faure's Requiem, Vivaldi's Gloria and Mendelssohn's Elijah. This season's performances include Winterfest at Chicago's Navy Pier and Haydn's Creation. In addition to her work with the CBA Chorus, Rebecca conducts workshops on vocal technique for choral singers.
